Medical Writer

Ogilvy CommonHealth is a leading healthcare agency that is looking for a Medical Writer to join the growing editorial team. If you are an experience Medical Writer with a PhD or Bachelor of Science, and are looking for a new exciting role let us know. Our team works across specialist and GP brands, across multiple therapy areas and we are looking to bolster our editorial team.  We are a creative business that collides ideas and scientific understanding to deliver results for our clients.

 

As a Medical Writer you will be responsible for:

  • Objectively interpreting and evaluating clinical and scientific literature/data.
  • Producing clear, scientifically accurate, grammatically correct and creative written work on a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Ensuring written communication items are appropriate for the target audience, target publication medium and required design/creativity.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge across multiple therapy areas by reviewing current literature.
  • Having a thorough understanding and adhere to current local codes and regulations relating to the marketing of pharmaceutical and other health-related products.
  • Being familiar with client brand plans, marketing objectives, key messages and other client preferences.
  • Contributing creative ideas, concepts or suggestions to provide added value to projects.
  • Liaising with clients when required and/or as directed by the project leader.
  • Attending on-site at client meetings, educational events and other meetings as required – both local and abroad.

The expertise you have, that we’ll build on:

  • Life science PhD or Bachelor of Science
  • Healthcare communications agency experience will be highly regarded
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate clinical and scientific literature/data
  • Able to produce clear, scientifically accurate, grammatically correct and creative written work
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks
  • A strong team player
